Flora (Doucet) Savoie

SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB - Flora M. (Doucet) Savoie, 94 years old of St. Louis-de-Kent passed away on Friday, May 15, 2015 at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne de Kent. 

Flora was born March 3, 1921 in Cape St. Marie, N.S. She was the daughter of Nicolas and Marie (Deveau) Doucet. She was predeceased by her sister Emma and her brother Edwin. Flora was a veteran of World War II. 

She is survived by her husband Emile to whom she was married for 70 years;  one daughter, Louise A Boucher and her husband Hector of Lancaster Mass; one son Donald Savoie of St. Louis; four grandchildren, Darren Boucher and his wife Kristina, Dean Boucher and his wife Melissa, Denis Savoie and Julien Savoie (Claudine Blanchard); four great grandchildren, Dominique Boucher, Koryn Boucher, Kristina Coleman and Gavin Boucher, one great great granddaughter, Aubree and many nieces & nephews.

Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent with visitation on Monday from 7-9 pm, Tuesday at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 at 11:00 am, St. Louis des Francais Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis-de-Kent.  Interment will be in the parish cemetery. 

Thanks to all those who have walked with us through this journey - family and friends; the doctors, nurses and support staff of the Stella Maris Hospital, Extra Mural nurses, and the in-home caregivers especially.
