Richard (Ritchie) Cormier

GALLOWAY, NB - Richard "Ritchie" Cormier 79, of Galloway passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Center, Moncton on Thursday, July 23, 2015.  Born in Richibucto, he was the son of the late Edmond Cormier and late Alma (Richard) Cormier.  Before retiring, Richard had been employed at Laurentide Paints in Richibucto for over 30 years.  He was a member of St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church. 

Ritchie will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 60 years, Thérèse (Kelly) Cormier; two daughters, Anne-Marie Doucet (Claude) of Galloway, Jeannine Gallant (Armand) of Saint Charles; one son, Maurice Cormier (Joyce) of Aldouane; seven grandchildren, Carole, Marc, Richard, Mélanie, Ginette, Jonathan, Sophie and twelve great grandchildren. 

He is also survived by two brothers, Philias and Tim and many nieces and nephews. 

He was predeceased by an infant daughter, Jacqueline; two sisters, Della, Rita and three brothers, Alvin, Hector and Eddy. 

Visitation will be at Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto on Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9, Monday at 2:00 pm until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 27, 2015 at 4:00 pm, St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church, Richibucto.  Interment will be in the Aldouane Roman Catholic Cemetery.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson's Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
