RICHIBOUCTOU-VILLAGE, NB – Josephat Leger, 89, formerly of Richibouctou-Village passed away peacefully at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home on Wednesday, August 8th, 2018. Born in Richibouctou-Village, he was the son of the late Cloris and Rose (Boucher) Leger. Before retiring, Josephat worked as a carpenter. He was a member of the Richibouctou-Village Club d’Age d’Or.
Josephat will be sadly missed by his loving wife, Regina; daughter, Anise Doucette (Fernand) of Bouctouche; two sons, Fernand (Carmelle) of Shediac and Rheal (Rina) of Bedec; four grandchildren, Mario, Marc, Andre and Nadia; and five great grandchildren, Ella, Eve, Thomas, Remi and Yanik.
Josephat also leaves to mourn four brothers, Exibe (late Alphonsine) of Richibucto, Henri (Dorice) of Richibouctou-Village, Aurel (late Dora) of Richibouctou-Village and Gerald (Rita) of Richibucto; as well as several nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Josephat is predeceased by three sisters, Geneva, Eleonore and Aline, as well as by four brothers, Leon, Armand, Ola and Leo-Paul.
The family would like to express their gratitude to all the staff at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home, especially Sharon MacDonald and Nancy Cail, for the excellent care provided to Josephat.
A private family service will be held at a later date.
