SAINT-EDOUARD-DE-KENT, NB – Henri Saulnier, 93, of
Saint-Edouard-de-Kent passed away peacefully at the Ottawa Hospital on
Friday, July 2, 2021. Born in Moncton, he was the son of the
late Edouard C. Saulnier and late Hortense (Belliveau)
Saulnier. Before retiring, Henri was a senior military
officer in the Canadian Armed Forces and also the City Manager for the
City of Cumberland, Ontario.
Henri will be sadly missed by his four daughters, France
Somers (Ken) of Ottawa, Louise Connor (Leon) of Ottawa, Joanne Collins
(John) of Calgary, Andrea Brind’amour (André) of
Keremeos, BC; five sons, Edward "Ned" Saulnier of South
Korea, Jean-Marc Saulnier (Meredith) of Hawkesbury, ON, Daniel
Saulnier (Anne) of Saskatoon, Christopher Saulnier (Cathy) of
Saskatoon, Charles Saulnier (Cathy) of Ottawa; fifteen grandchildren;
eleven great grandchildren and one great great
granddaughter.
Besides his parents, Henri was predeceased by his wife,
Kathryn (Gallant) Saulnier; three sisters, Jocelyn "Lyn",
Margaret, Marie Marthe "Jill" and one brother,
Delisle.
The family will be greeting friends as of 10:00 am on
Thursday, August 19th, 2021 at the
Ste.-Anne-de-Kent Roman Catholic Church, Ste.-Anne-de-Kent, NB. A
Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, August
19th, 2021 at 11:00 am, Ste.-Anne-de-Kent Roman
Catholic Church, Ste.-Anne-de-Kent.
