Imelda Daigle (née Mazerolle)
POINTE-SAPIN, NB – It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Imelda Daigle, 78, of Pointe-Sapin at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne on Wednesday, September 29th, 2021. Born in Pointe-Sapin, she was the daughter of the late François and Evelyne (Daigle) Mazerolle. Before retiring, Imelda worked for the lobster transformation plant.
Imelda leaves to mourn her son, Néri Daigle (Chantal) and her granddaughter, Sabrina, all of Pointe-Sapin.
Imelda will also be sadly missed by her five sisters, Irma Poirier (late Alphonse) of Baie-Ste-Anne, Bertha Richard (Sylvio) of Escuminac, Maria Daigle (Simon), Délima Robichaud (Alonzo) and Noëlla Daigle (late Conrad), all of Pointe-Sapin; her four brothers, Vital (late Claudette) of Richibucto, Antoine (Simonne), Fernand (Aline) and Zoël, all of Pointe-Sapin; as well as by her many in-laws and nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, Imelda was predeceased by her husband, Vincent; two infant daughters, Diane and Sylvie; as well as by her five brothers, Fabien, Armand, Albénie, Hubert and Leo.
The family wishes to express their sincere gratitude to the staff of the Stella Maris Hospital for the excellent care provided to Imelda during her stay.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Memorial Home, St. Louis, on Wednesday, October 13th, 2021 from 2:00 pm until departure for the funeral. A funeral mass will be celebrated Wednesday, October 13th, 2021 at 4:00pm, St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Pointe-Sapin.
Following provincial COVID-19 regulations, visitors will be required to provide proof of double COVID-19 vaccination and government issued ID at the funeral home and at the church, masks are mandatory and we ask that social distancing is respected.
