Gérard Mazerolle

POINTE-SAPIN, NB – Gérard Mazerolle, 71, of Pointe-Sapin passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre, Moncton on Sunday, October 17^th, 2021. Born in Pointe-Sapin, he was the son of the late Urbain and Osélie (Richard) Mazerolle. Gérard was an avid dart player and he enjoyed watching hockey games. Before retiring, he was a fisherman’s helper by trade and also worked for the local fish plant.

Gérard leaves to mourn his girlfriend, Rita Bourque; as well as her children, David Bourque, Michel Bourque, Linda Roy and Diane Hebert.

Gérard will also be sadly missed by his six sisters, Anne-Marie Mazerolle (Adrien Vautour) of Saint-Louis, Elise Mazerolle (Raymond Steever) of Saint-Louis, Lorraine Doucet (Chris Read) of Grand Bend, ON, Gisèle Comeau (late Gérald) of Miramichi, Francine Hynes (late Gerry) of Etobicoke, ON and Maria Leger (Gérard) of Aldouane; five brothers, Edgar (late Lisette) of Saint-Louis, Jean-Guy, Joseph, François (Anne-Marie) and Claude (Jacqueline), all of Pointe-Sapin; as well as by his many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Gérard was predeceased by his four brothers, Joseph, Jean-Baptiste, Luc and Camille.

Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home in Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Tuesday, October 26^th, 2021 from 1:00 to 3:00 pm. A funeral mass will be celebrated Tuesday, October 26^th, 2021 at 4:00pm, Saint-Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Pointe-Sapin.

Following provincial COVID-19 regulations, visitors will be required to provide proof of double COVID-19 vaccination and government issued ID at the funeral home, masks are mandatory and we ask that social distancing is respected.
