Oswald Guimond

SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Oswald Guimond, 76, of Saint-Louis, passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste. Anne-de-Kent on Sunday, December 5^th, 2021. Born in Saint-Louis, he was the son of the late Cyprien and Minnie (Cormier) Guimond. Before retiring, Oswald worked in maintenance for the Kouchibouguac National Park.

Oswald leaves to mourn his loving wife of 54 years, Patsy (Cobham) Guimond; his son, Perry Guimond (Suzanne) of Saint-Louis; as well as his two grandchildren, Jules Hebert and Kasey Fankhauser.

Oswald will also be missed by his three sisters, Dorca Doucet (late Liguori) of Bathurst, Hilda Daigle (late Tilmon) of Saint-Louis and Anne Daigle of Saint-Louis; his brother, Jean Guimond of Saint-Louis; two sisters-in-law, Anna Guimond and Rose Daigle (Ola), both of Saint-Louis; as well as by his many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, Oswald was predeceased by his two sisters, Berthille and Jeanne d’Arc and two brothers, Rodrigue and Gilles.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 10^th, 2021 at 11:00am, Saint-Louis-des-Français Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis.

Following provincial COVID-19 regulations, visitors will be required to provide proof of double COVID-19 vaccination and government issued ID at the church, masks are mandatory and we ask that social distancing is respected.
