Paul Emile Richard
POINTE-SAPIN, NB – Paul Emile Richard, 78, formerly of Pointe-Sapin, passed away peacefully at the Villa Maria, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Saturday, January 8th, 2022. Born in Pointe-Sapin, he was the son of the late Joseph and Regina (Mazerolle) Richard. In his early career, Paul Emile worked as a woodsman and then as a fisherman until his retirement.
Paul Emile leaves to mourn his loving wife, Irma Richard (née Daigle) of Pointe-Sapin; his two daughters, Jacqueline Richard (Maurice Daigle) of Pointe-Sapin and Mireille Richard (Ricky Fontaine) of Saint-Louis; his son Mario Richard of Pointe-Sapin; his six grandchildren, Ghislain Fontaine, Patrick Daigle, Alex Daigle, Chloe Mazerolle-Richard, Aubrie Richard and Isabella Hogan; as well as his three great-grandchildren, Riley Daigle, Kalex Daigle and Arielle Daigle.
Paul Emile will also be sadly missed by his three sisters, Elianne Brun-Robichaud (late Roger) of Moncton, Marie-Thérèse Sullivan (Dana) of Moncton and Aline Mazerolle (Evariste) of Pointe-Sapin; his two brothers, Bernard Richard (Marie-Thérèse) of Pointe-Sapin and Normand Richard (Lucia) of Moncton; as well as by his many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm ONLY. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, January 14th, 2022 at 11:00am, St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Pointe-Sapin.
The family would like to express their sincere gratitude to Dr. Josette Vautour and all of the staff at the Villa Maria for the excellent care provided to Paul Emile.
Following provincial COVID-19 regulations, a maximum of 50 people will be allowed in the funeral home at a time, visitors will be required to provide proof of double COVID-19 vaccination and government issued ID at the funeral home and church, masks are mandatory and we ask that social distancing is respected.
