Mildred Vautour (UPDATED)

SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – It is with great sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Mildred Vautour, 89 at Foyer Bois Joli, Saint-Louis on Friday, February 4^th, 2022. Born in Claire Fontaine, she was the daughter of the late Duncan and Annie (Savoy) Stewart.

Mildred leaves to mourn her four daughters, Joyce Comeau (Normand) of Richibucto, Shirley Vautour (Margie) of Saint-Louis, Connie Vautour (France) of Cap Saint-Louis and Sylvia Meunier of Richibucto; seven sons, Howard Vautour (Nora) of Saint-Louis, Aden Vautour (Anne-Marie) of Saint-Louis, Lloyd Vautour (Dorina) of Saint Charles, Leo Vautour (Gisele) of Aldouane, Robert Vautour (Janice) of Moncton, Malcolm Vautour (Tina) of Tracadie and Kevin Vautour (Annette) of Saint-Charles; as well as her 15 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several step grandchildren and step great-grandchildren.

Mildred will also be missed by two brothers-in-law, Haze Vautour (Hazel) and Aldred Stewart; as well as her last surviving aunt, Mary Walsh and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Mildred was predeceased by her loving husband, Sylvain Vautour; three brothers, Kenneth, Robert and Ronald; as well as by her two daughters-in-law, Lisette and Irene Vautour.

The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all of the staff that took very good care of their mother at Foyer Bois Joli, to Dr. Melanie Allain and to Thompson Funeral Home for the care that was provided to Mildred.

Visitation will be held at Thompson's Memorial Home, Saint-Louis-de-Kent, Monday, July 4th, 2022 from 7-9pm and Tuesday, July 5th, 2022 from 9:00am until departure for the funeral. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, July 5th, 2022 at 11:00am, Saint-Louis-des-Français Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis-de-Kent.
