Jean-Baptiste Gaudet

POINTE-SAPIN, NB – Jean-Baptiste Gaudet 65, of Pointe-Sapin passed away at his home in Moncton, surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, February 7, 2022, after a long and courageous battle against cancer. He was the son of late Aurèle Gaudet and the late Thelma Vautour.

Jean-Baptiste will be sadly missed by his daughter, Cynthia Gaudet and his grandson Félix from Summerside, PEI.

He is also survived by three sisters, Jeanne d’Arc Gaudet (Evgueni), Sister Marie-Éva Gaudet both of Moncton and Marcia Gaudet-Manuel (Georgie) of Baie-Ste-Anne; seven brothers, Alcide Gaudet (Cécile) of Aldouane, Jean-Paul Gaudet of Dieppe, Donald Gaudet (Rose-Marie) of Pointe-Sapin, Aurèle Gaudet (Odette) of Québec City, Gérald Gaudet (Donna) of Moncton, Bernard Gaudet (Sylvie) and Éric Gaudet (Julie-Anne) both of Dieppe; many nieces, nephews, grand nieces and nephews, his extended family of cousins and good friends.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his younger brother, Mario Gaudet.

The family would like to thank all of those who worked so tirelessly to provide excellent care during the last few months, including the doctors, nurses, social workers and many others.

Jean-Baptiste was a model of courage and determination for all of us. We loved you and will never forget you.

Visitation will be held at the Pointe-Sapin Community Centre on Friday, May 27th, 2022 from 6-9pm and Saturday, May 28th, 2022 from 9:00am until departure for the funeral. The funeral mass will be celebrated on Saturday, May 28th, 2022 at 11:00am, St. Joseph Roman Catholic Church, Pointe-Sapin.
