Edmée Guimond
1930-2022

RICHIBUCTO, NB – Edmée Guimond 92, of Richibucto passed away peacefully at the Rexton Lions Nursing Home on Thursday, November 3, 2022. Born in Richibouctou-Village, NB, she was the daughter of the late Arthur LeBlanc and late Lina (Daigle) LeBlanc. Edmée was a loving mother to her children and they were her angels. She loved to sing and always ended her songs with, "Shave and a haircut pea soup".
Edmée will be sadly missed by her four daughters, Anne-Marie Guimond (Achille) of Bouctouche, Irene Caissie (Rhéal) of Richibucto, Joanne White (Ross) of Dieppe, Germaine Guimond (Denis) of Richibucto; one son, Paul Guimond (Morla) of Richibucto; ten grandchildren, Shawn, Yves, Monica, Julien, Jolaine, Sophie, Danica, Josée, Brandon, Jean-Denis and several great grandchildren.
She is also survived by three sisters, Noëlla Johnson (late Elmo) of Bouctouche, Marie Thérèse Mills (late Gerald) of Bouctouche, Irene Sawyer (Garnet) of Rexton; daughter-in-law, Gisele Guimond of Cap Lumiere; sisters-in-law, Dorine LeBlanc of Cap Lumiere, Marianne LeBlanc of Saint John and many nieces and nephews.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Edgar Guimond; one son, George; one grandson, Yves; two sisters, Marguerite, Germaine and four brothers, Alyre, Rene, Adelin and Norman.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home on Friday, November 25, 2022 beginning at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 25, 2022 at 11:00 am at the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church in Richibucto. Donations in Edmée’s memory may be made to the Rexton Lions Nursing Home or St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church.
