Alice Richard

RICHIBUCTO, NB – Alice Richard, 88, of Richibucto passed away peacefully at the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, Sainte-Anne-de-Kent, on Wednesday, May 31^st, 2023. Born in Saint-Ignace, she was the daughter of the late Jean-Baptiste and Eveline (Robichaud) Gallant. Before retiring, Alice worked as a home care worker for the elderly.

Alice leaves to mourn her two daughters, Léona Boucher (Ronny) of Richibucto and Marcia Richard (Laurie Caissie) of Richibouctou-Village; her three sons, Maurice Richard of Rexton, Marc Richard of Cap-Lumière and Léon Richard (Chantalle) of Saint-Charles; her stepson, Terry Maillet (Anna) of Mississauga, ON; as well as her thirteen grandchildren, Jean-Paul, Mathieu, Angèle, Mireille, Kyle, Joey, Chantal, Joline, Jonathan, Jessy, Robby, Adrianna and Emilio; and six great-grandchildren, Valerie, Madeleine, Colton, Tyler, Seth and Noah.

Alice will also be sadly missed by her four sisters, Yvonnice Daigle (late Paul) of Aldouane, Anna Daigle (François) of Saint-Ignace, Marie-Louise Landry (late Normand) of Moncton and Rita Pellerin (Ben) of Saint-Louis-de-Kent; her brother, Léo-Paul Gallant (Léonice) of Saint-Louis-de-Kent; many nieces and nephews; her brother-in-law, Eloi Doiron; her two sisters-in-law, Linda and Hélène; as well as by her special friend, Omer LeBlanc of Richibucto.

Besides her parents, Alice was predeceased by her loving husband, Jean-Paul Richard; her common-law spouse, Vincent Maillet; her granddaughter, Summer; her two sisters, Sémida Johnson and Bertha Doiron; as well as by her four brothers, François, Arthur, Dolphée and Josephat.

As per Alice’s wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral service. A private family graveside service will be held at a later date.
