SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – It is with profound sadness and broken hearts that the family announces the passing of Albert Joseph Martin 81, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Tuesday, June 27, 2023. Born in Canisto, he was the son of the late Marcel Martin and late Marie (Babineau) Martin. Before retiring, Albert was a lumberjack.

Albert was very passionate of nature and animals. He always wanted to spend his time outdoors and was an avid animal rescuer. He loved working on his land and sharing his experiences with his family.

Albert will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 51 years, Lina (Bastarache) Martin of St. Louis; two sons, Pierre Martin (Mylene) of Memramcook, Eric Martin (Celine) of Lakeburn; six grandchildren, Maxime, Eli, Lia, Chloe, Mathis and Ella.

He is also survived by four sisters, Marguerite LeBlanc (Roger) of Bathurst, Rose-Marie Daigle (late Ovila) of Moncton, Elodie Diotte of Moncton, Diane Roy (Paul) of Shediac; three brothers, Pierre Martin of Shediac, Gerard Martin (Clara) of St. Louis, Gilles Martin (Maria) of the USA and many nieces and nephews.

Albert was predeceased by his parents, Marcel and Marie Martin.

There will be no visitation for the public at the Memorial Home. A private family graveside committal service will be held on Thursday, June 29, at 11:00 am at the St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Cemetery in Saint-Louis.
