Kristen Danielle Stewart, 33, of Aldouane passed away peacefully at her home on Thursday, August 10th, 2023, surrounded by her beloved family. She was the treasured daughter of Rhonda (Vautour) Stewart and Danny Stewart.
Kristen was a graduate of MFR High School in St-Louis-de-Kent. After graduation, she moved to Ontario for many years. The large circle of loyal friends she attracted was like family to her.
Kristen did not let her illness dim her bright light; she faced each day with optimism, gratitude and her beautiful smile. To the very end, she lived her life to the fullest. The impact she made on so many people will live on forever.
Besides her parents, Rhonda and Danny, Kristen leaves to mourn her beloved dog, Bentley as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins who all held a special place in her heart.
She was predeceased by her grandparents, the late Alphee and Hilda Vautour and the late Maria and Rodrick Stewart.
The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Extramural Kent, Dre. Josee Sirois, Dr Abdelsalam and the oncology department at Dr. Georges L. Dumont University Hospital for their kindness and care during Kristen’s illness. They would also like to thank the community of neighbours and friends for the overwhelming support throughout Kristen’s illness. The donations, words of encouragement and acts of kindness meant so much and will not be forgotten.
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home in St. Louis on Wednesday, August 16th, 2023 from 2:00-4:00 and 7:00-9:00 pm and Thursday, August 17th, 2023 from 9:00 until departure for the funeral. The funeral service will begin at 11:00 am at Saint-Louis-des-Français Roman Catholic Church, in St. Louis.
