Ronald Comeau

RICHIBUCTO, NB – Ronald Anthony Comeau 71, of Richibucto passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Center in Moncton on Sunday, October 29, 2023.  Born in Toronto, ON, he was the son of the late Raymond Comeau and late Eva (McKinnon) Comeau.  Before retiring, Ron was employed at the Dorchester Penitentiary  as a Correctional Officer for 25 years. 

Ron loved spending time with his grandchildren.  He was an avid sports fan and could always be found at the hockey rink or ball field or playing poker with his close friends. 

Ron will be sadly missed by his loving wife of fifty years, Mary Comeau of Richibucto; one son, Jason Comeau (Libby) of Moncton; two grandchildren, Iris and Clarke. 

He is also survived by one brother, Brian Comeau of Ontario and many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto on Monday from 2-5 pm (ONLY).  A private Celebration of Ron’s Life will be held for family on Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at 11:00 am at Thompson’s Funeral Home Chapel in Richibucto.  Donations in Ron’s memory may be made to Muscular Dystrophy of Canada and would be appreciated by the family.
