Alfreda Hebert

Alfreda Hebert

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Alfreda Hébert on November 16th, 2023 at the age of 94. Born in Acadieville, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Marie (Arsenault) Cormier.

Alfreda was a wonderful mother, grandmother and great grandmother. She was well appreciated by her family and friends for her big heart. Her house was always open to everyone. She enjoyed her life to the fullest and especially her love of dancing and music. Some of her favourite pastimes included playing at washer toss, bowling, gardening, and of course, her flowers. She was past president of the Club d’Âge d’Or in Richibouctou-Village, a member of the Women's Liberal Party, a special member of the parish choir as well as being known as the ‘Reine du Carnaval’, and much, much more.

Alfreda leaves to mourn her three daughters, Maria Hébert (Danielle), Simonne LeBlanc (Paul) both of Cap-Lumière, Denise LeBlanc (Normand) of Ste. Anne-de-Kent; her two sons, Fernand Hébert (late Diane), Adrien Hébert (Gisèle) both of Cap-Lumière; her ten grandchildren, Marcel (Renée), Sylvie (James), Jacob, Mathieu (Chantal), Tiffany (Mike), Isabelle (Jean-Francois), Ghislain (Chantal), Jeremy (Emilie), Ashley, Gina; her seven great grandchildren, Chanelle, Evaëlle, Lenaïk, Morgan, Anyssa, Josée, and  Mavrik

She is also survived by two sisters, Eveline Cormier (late Raoul) of Shédiac, Eva Cormier (Raymond) of Bouctouche; one brother, Alexi Cormier (Robéa) of Acadieville; three sisters-in-law, Ida Cormier of Minto, Lucianne Cormier of Acadieville and Marguerite Cormier of St. Charles as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her late husband, Pascal; five sisters, Élise, Marie, Marguerite, Emma, Andréa; five brothers, Fernand, Joseph, Gérard, Lucien and Antoine.
