Theodore Lawrence "Glen" McDermott (UPDATED)

BASS RIVER, NB – It is with profound sadness that the family announces the sudden death of Glen McDermott 53, of Bass River on Tuesday, January 30, 2024.  Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Freeman McDermott and late Lois (Ryan) McDermott. 

Glen will be sadly missed by his two children; Jessica McDermott (Daniel) of New Zealand; Cody McDermott (Lauren) of Sudbury, ON; two sisters, Sue Ellen Welman (Wayne) of Smiths Corner, Crystal Albert (Roger) of Saint John.  He will be forever missed and loved by his two grandchildren, Jed and Bella and a grandson arriving in June, they were his world. 

He is also survived by many uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and special niece, Shelby who was always there when Glen needed her. 

A celebration of the life of Glen will be held at Danny’s Bar and Grill in Bass River on August 18, 2024 from 1-3 pm. The graveside service will be at the Presbyterian Cemetery on Keswick Hill at 3:30pm, Rev. Sandy A.D. Alexander Sutherland will be officating the service .

Donations in his memory may be made to the Bass River Ball Field, the Playground or charity of the donor’s choice.
