Yvon Vautour

SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – Yvon Vautour 73, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent passed away peacefully at the Dr. Georges-L. Dumont University Hospital Center in Moncton on Friday, March 29, 2024.  Born in Claire-Fontaine, he was the son of the late Arthur Vautour and late Mona (Doucet) Vautour.  Before retiring, Yvon was a devoted fisherman for over fifty years.  He was an avid hunter that enjoyed spending time in the woods with his close friends preparing for hunting season. 

Yvon will be sadly missed by his loving wife of 53 years, Cornne (Jaillet) Vautour; one daughter, Janice Vautour-LeBlanc (Marc) of Memramcook; two sons, Stéphane Thibodeau of Neguac, Robert Vautour (Nadine) of Pointe-Sapin; four grandchildren, Samuel, Josh, Natasha, Mathieu and one great granddaughter, Silvana. 

He is also survived by four sisters, Léda Richard (Réjean) of St. Louis, Noëlla Blanchard (Hilaire) of St. Charles, Yolande Vautour (late Adelin) of St. Louis, Murielle Richard Richard (Michel) of St. Louis; seven brothers, Leon Vautour (Rose-Mai), Rhéal Vautour, Adrien Vautour (Jeannine) all of St. Louis, Conrad Vautour (Laura) of Moosejaw, Saskatchewan, Eris Vautour (Carolyn) of St. Louis, Hilaire Vautour (Marsha) of Miramichi, Lucien Vautour (Rachel) of St. Louis and many nieces and nephews. 

Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home in Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Friday April 19, 2024 beginning at 3:00 pm until a prayer service at 4:00 pm. 

Family wish to express a special thank you to the doctors and staff at the Dumont Hospital 4F and the Miramichi Regional Hospital Dialysis staff for all their kind and compassionate care of Yvon. 

Arrangements are in the professional care of Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto (506-523-4252).
