POINTE-SAPIN, N.B. - It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Alexandre Robichaud, on April 6th, 2024, at the age of 84. Born in Pointe-Sapin, he was the son of the late Doris and Élizabeth (Mazerolle) Robichaud.
Before retiring, Alex was a fisherman for many years. He loved playing cards, bowling and especially Bingo, which he played five times a week. He enjoyed feeding and birds, going for walks on the beach and adored his two fur babies, Holly and Pico.
Alex leaves to mourn his two daughters, Mireille Robichaud of Pointe-Sapin and Sophie Robichaud (Brian) of Scoudouc; his three sons, Serge Robichaud (Méa) of Pointe-Sapin, Michel Robichaud (Pierette) of Pointe-Sapin and Julien Robichaud (Tammy) of St. Louis; his eleven grandchildren, Jean-François, Angelica, Vanessa, Alexandre, Brendon, Jacob, Nick, Brady, Jessica, Justin, Mylène and his great grandson Luca.
Alex is also survived by three sisters; Jacinthe Richard (Joseph) of Richibouctou-Village, Lucie Robichaud (Bernard) of Kouchibouguac and Georgina Cormier (late Tilmon) of Pointe-Sapin; one brother, Jean-François Robichaud (Shannon) of Springhill, N.S. as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, Alex was predeceased by his loving wife, Claudine (Savoie) Robichaud and one brother, Aubé Robichaud (Marguerite).
Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home in Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Friday, April 12th, 2024 from 9:00AM-11:00AM and from 2:00PM until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, April 12th, 2024 at 4:00PM at the St. Louis-des-Français Roman Catholic Church in Saint-Louis-de-Kent.
