SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – It is with profound sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Exilda Doiron 84, of St-Louis-de-Kent at the Stella Maris Hospital in Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Saturday, April 13, 2024 surrounded by her loving family.  Born in St-Ignace, she was the daughter of the late Medor Henrie and late Judith (Robichaud) Henrie.

Exilda was a stay at home mom but worked hard with her husband fishing.  She loved family gatherings, playing cards, and winning at washer toss.  She admired and loved to watch birds, especially humming birds.

Exilda will be sadly missed by her four daughters, Bernice Doiron (late Robert Martin) of Collette, Dianne Doiron (Robert Tremblay) of St. Louis, Monique Doiron Vautour (Simon) of St. Louis, Lisa Cormier (Luc) of St. Louis; nine grandchildren, Natalie (Fitz-Roy), Lynn (Serge), Adrien (Ashley), Stephanie (Michel), Melanie (Jason), Josée (Denis), Karine (Daniel), Anabelle, Alexia; eight great grandchildren, Myriam, Janie, Sebastien, Calixte, Morgan, Jayden, Tyson and Tristin.

She is also survived by a special niece, Yvonne LeBlanc; two sisters, Roseanna Belliveau (Aurele) of St. Paul, Alma LeBlanc (Alphée) of Montreal; two brothers, Edward Henrie of Colorado, François Henrie (Cynthia) of St. Ignace; sister-in-law, Judy Henrie of Moncton and many nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Omer Doiron; five sisters, Mabel, Jeannine, Marguerite, Marie, Alice; two brothers, Eric and Antoine and very special friend, Florida Martin.

Visitation will be held at Thompson Memorial Home in Saint-Louis-de-Kent on Monday beginning at 1:00 pm until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Monday, April 22, 2024 at 4:00 pm at the St. Louis des Français Roman Catholic Church in Saint-Louis-de-Kent.

The family wish to thank especially Bernice for the unconditional care and love our mother received residing with her.  Also thank you to the staff at Extra Mural, Dr. Pierre LeBlanc, Kayla Martin, and Social Development; because of your kindness, aid, and support services we were able to keep our mom at home.  We are so grateful.
