Gwendolyn Reidpath

1943-2024

Gwendolyn Reidpath

It is with heavy hearts, the family of Gwendolyn Constance Reidpath announce her passing at the Drew Nursing Home on May 10, 2024 in her 81st year. Born on July 25, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Margaret Reidpath.

Gwen was a special sister to her brother, Gordon, and a loving aunt to her niece and nephew, Darcie and Brett. She was also very fond of the members of the extended family and loved having them over in the summer time for picnics in her front yard. She loved her home on the Richibucto River and loved sharing it with her family, friends, and pets, both domestic and wild.

Gwen was fond of all animals, but especially her Sheltie, Misty Meadow.

Anyone who had the pleasure of being a guest at her dinner table will remember her delicious roast beef dinner complete with Yorkshire pudding.

Gwen also had many friends with whom she loved to travel, share a meal, or just a cup of tea and conversation.  She was passionate about the Monarchy and the Royal Family.

As an active member of St Andrew’s United Church, Rexton, Gwen sang in the church choir and taught Sunday School. She also was a Past Worthy Matron of St. Andrew's  Chapter  #28, Order of the Eastern Star.

Gwen will live on in the hearts of her brother, Gordon (Pam), her niece, Darcie (Jason) and their children, her nephew, Brett (Denise).

The family would like to thank the staff of Chignecto Unit of The Drew Nursing Home for their care of Gwen.
