JARDINEVILLE, NB - Nathanaël Ferland 87 of Jardineville, passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital in Ste-Anne-de-Kent, Saturday, May 25, 2024. Born in Campbellton, NB, he was de son of the late Albert Ferland and Philomène (Bujold) Ferland. Nathanaël was a member or the Royal Canadian Air Force, he was employed as an Airframe Technician and later became a correctional officer in the Ottawa area.
Nat will be sadly missed by his wife of 48 years, Diane (Morel) Ferland of Jardineville, NB; three daughters, Huguette Ferland (Donald Babin) of St-Charles, NB, Constance Hewitt (Paul) of Ottawa, ON, Carole Ferland (Kevin) of Ottawa, ON; three sons, Denis Ferland (Claudette) of Pointe-à-la Croix, QC, Ronald Ferland (Lisa) of Chesterville, ON, Daniel Ferland (Barbara) of Ottawa, ON, one brother, Camille Ferland (Claudette) of Quebec; one sister-in-law, Céline Tremblay (late Réjean Morel); two nephews, Vincent and David of Québec and several nieces and nephews.
He had twelve grandchildren Jonathan, Benjamin, Jesse, Adrien, Stéphane, Nathalie, Sylvie, Paul, Christina, Natalie, Dominic and Alexander; eleven great grandchildren, Melody, Nathaniel, Thomas, Nicholas, Marcus, Nathan, Tiffany, Rosaly, Anthony, Jace and Henri George.
Beside his parents, he was predeceased by one daughter, Diane; one son, Marc; five sisters, Jeanne, Thérèse, Marguerite, Antoinette, Claire and six brothers, Alfred, Philippe, Jean-Marie, Rodrigue, Pacifique and Alcide.
Visitation will be held at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto beginning, on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, June 15, 2024 at 10:30 am at the Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church in Rexton.
The family would like to thank Father Bernard Gauthier for the many visits with Nat the last three years. We would equally like to thank the neighbors and friends for their support during these difficult times.
The family is offering a luncheon at the Richibucto Legion after the Funeral in memory of Nathanaël.
