Ronald Allain (1949-2024)

SAINT-CHARLES, NB – Ronald Allain 75, of Saint-Charles passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital in Ste-Anne-de-Kent on Tuesday, June 4, 2024.  Born in Richibucto, he was the son of the late Laurie Allain and late Doris (Arsenault) Allain.  Ronald joined the Army at the age of 17 in 1966 until his retirement in 1990.  He served in Egypt in 1986-1987 in the Multi-National Forces as an observer.  He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 30 for over 45 years.

Ronald will be sadly missed by his daughter, Ancita Bugden (Esther) of Ouje-Bougoumou, Quebec; her mother, Maggie Bugden; five grandchildren, Alexander, Isaac, Diana-Rose, Clarissa, James and five great-grandchildren; Wasaskun, Biibiipsou, Boadi (Alexander) & Maya and Freya (Diana-Rose).

He’ll also be missed by Late Carmen Bell’s children , Andrew Bell (Tammy) of Shediac, Greg Bell (Cindy) of Cap Pele and their children.

He is also survived by eight sisters, Cecile Meade (John) of Dieppe, Aurena Murray (Bernard) of Fredericton, Leontine Legault (Michel) of Richibucto, Geraldine Allain of Rexton, Denise Robichaud (Maurice) of Aldouane, Monique Martin (Yvon) of Richibucto, Jacinthe Savoie (Roger) of Dieppe, Laurida Ells (late Philip Jr.) of Grand Manan; one brother, Clarence Allain (Susana) of St. Charles; one uncle, Joseph P. Allain of Cap Lumiere; one aunt, Bernadette Leger of Boston, MASS and many nieces and nephews. 

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one brother, Albert (2017) and his partner, Carmen (2023). 

Visitation will be held at Thompson's Funeral Home in Richibucto on Thursday from 7-9 pm, Friday at 2:00 pm until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 14, 2024 at 4:00 pm at the St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church in Richibucto. 

Special thank you to Dr. Stéphane Collette, Dr. Pierre LeBlanc, Extra Mural and nurses at the Stella Maris Hospital Palliative Care Unit for the care they gave to Ronald.
