Jacques Richard

ALDOUANE, NB – It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Jacques Richard, 83, of Aldouane, on Wednesday, July 24, 2024, at the Villa Maria in Saint-Louis de Kent.  Born in Richibucto, he was the son of the late Léo and Thérèse (Daigle) Richard.   

Jacques will be greatly missed by his beloved wife of 64 years, Pat (Keddy) Richard.  Jacques also leaves to mourn his daughter, Carla Richard of St. Charles; three sons, René Richard (late Karan) of Main River, Travis Richard (Rachelle) of Richibucto, and Jacques Richard of St. Charles; his grandchildren, Bonnie, Andrew, Zachary, Alexandre, Caleb and Annabelle and his many great-grandchildren. 

Jacques is also survived by two sisters, Marguerite Carroll (late Jack) and Jeanne Richard – both of Lower Sackville, NS, as well as many nieces and nephews.

Besides his parents, he was predeceased by one sister, Louise Abbey (Wayne) of Lower Sackville, NS.  

Jacques spent his younger years in Rockingham, NS.  He later returned to Richibucto to start his career at Seagram’s.

Jacques was passionate about his work and his many hobbies. He enjoyed the outdoors and was usually found fine tuning his snowmobiles, coaching sport teams, working in his wood shop or just ‘fixing stuff’.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Villa Maria for their kindness and wonderful care of Jacques.

There will be no visitation or funeral service.  A private ceremony for the immediate family will happen at a later date.
