ELSIPOGTOG, NB – Steven "Iggy" Dedam 34, of Elsipogtog passed away at the Ste. Anne de Kent Hospital on Monday, September 9, 2024.  Born in Moncton, he was the son of the late Eldon Dedam and Leta (Grindle) Dedam. Iggy was the captain of his own fishing boat.  Iggy loved to spend time with his family and friends at family gatherings and fishing with his son. 

Iggy will be sadly missed by his mother, Leta Dedam of Elsipogtog, three daughters, Shakira Sock, Ensley Young, Jamie Dedam all of Elsipogtog; four sons, Owen Dedam, Xavier Bernard, Treyton Young, Henley Young all of Elsipogtog. 

He is also survived by five sisters, Melissa "Missy" Dedam of Ontario, Randi Dedam of Elsipogtog, Sheena Simon (Joshua) of Bouctouche, Holly Dedam, Amber Joseph (Jay) both of Elsipogtog; one brother, Samuel Dedam (Hayley) of Elsipogtog, his favorite aunt Brenda and uncle Dom and aunts, Shirley and Wanda, uncle Wilbert and also many aunts and uncles in the USA

Besides his father, he was predeceased by one brother, Dallas Dedam and uncle Amo and late aunts, Sogi, Margaret Anne and Judy. 

Visitation will begin on Sunday at 2:00 pm, 360 Graham Road, Elsipogtog until time of the service. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, September 17, 2024 at 10:30 am, St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Elsipogtog.
