Jimmy Roy Roberts
1979-2025
HARCOURT, NB – It is with great sadness that the family announces the passing of Jimmy Roberts, who passed away peacefully at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Thursday, January 2, 2025, at the age of 45. Born in Moncton, NB, on June 2, 1979, he was the son of Kenny Roberts and Claudine Pitre.
Jimmy was known for his quick wit and desire to help others however he could. Despite battling with a heart condition and other medical complications his entire life, he never gave up and lived much longer than doctors believed he would. He lived a full life and worked hard to provide for his family.
Despite his illness, he refused to sit still and kept himself busy through various activities he loved. From doing mechanic work to catering to his garden or barbequing in the summer, there were very few skills that Jimmy could not master. During the day, he could be found working on cars in the garage, visiting family, working around the house, or rewarding himself with a nap after a long day’s work.
Jimmy leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Rosana Caballeron-Roberts; his children, Alyssa Roberts (Tariq) of St. Antoine, John Roberts (Julia) of Moncton, and Abbygail Roberts; his parents, Kenny Roberts (Mercedes) and Claudine Pitre; his sister, April Roberts of Moncton; his brother, Timmy Roberts (Stacey) of Gallagher-Ridge; his sister-in-law Marites Oquendo (Jay) of Vancouver, BC; his nieces and nephews, Kassidy, Cody, Konnor, Tristen, Trent, Thomas, Jayda and Justine; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was a wonderful son, father, and brother and will be dearly missed.
He was also predeceased by one infant brother, Richard Roy Roberts.
Visitation will begin on Thursday, January 9, 2025, from 9:00-11:00 a.m. and from 1:00 p.m. until the time of the service. A Funeral Service will be celebrated at 3:00 p.m. at Thompson Funeral Home in Richibucto, followed by interment at the Whispering Pines Cemetery in Harcourt. There will also be a gathering following the burial at the Harcourt Legion.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Harcourt community and the Harcourt Legion for hosting two benefit events for Jimmy. They also want to thank the Heart Transplant Clinic at QE2 in Halifax for 16 years of outstanding care, as well as the Nephrology Department at the Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Center for providing dialysis treatment.
In memory of Jimmy, donations can be made to the Whispering Pines Cemetery in Harcourt.
Arrangements are in the professional care of Thompson Funeral Home, Richibucto (506-523-4252).
