Helen Jones

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the death of Helen Jones on
Saturday, January 4, 2025. Born in Clairville, she was the daughter of the late
Lloyd Brown and late Hughena (Little) Brown.

Helen is survived by her loving husband Carle, of 69 years, rarely were they
apart; her three children, Janice Leblanc (Dale Murphy), John Jones(Alcida),
Sheila Black (Greg); eight cherished grandchildren, Curtis, Beth, Daniel, David,
Jamie, Amie, Angela, Jennifer; fourteen beloved great grandchildren, Reece,
Shaylin, Sam, Emma, Julia, Abby, Ellie, Evie, Seamus, Ronan, Thomas, Alex,
Georgia, Benson; sisters, Arlene Hutchison (late Steve), Nina Frazee (late Bud),
Josie Dunn and many close nieces, nephews and cousins.

Helen, Mom, Nan (Nannie), Honey loved children. In her younger years she
taught Sunday School and Vacation Bible School, she loved driving the early
elementary school bus/van and she prayed daily for her grandchildren, great
grandchildren all listed in order and by name.

Helen was a member and Elder of Saint Andrew’s Presbyterian Church,
Clairville, past member of the Ladies Aid and the Woman’s Institute. Helen
worked as a contract school bus driver, Crawford Housewares and on
Community Works Projects, enjoying the friendships she made during that
time. Most of all she was a homemaker, she kept a spotless home. Baking was
her passion, cinnamon rolls and fudge were her speciality. Hospitality was her
gift. Gardening brought her much joy, flower gardens surrounded her home
and plants were nurtured in every corner, inside and out. Her presence will be
greatly missed but we take comfort in her heavenly reward.

Besides her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Roberta "Birtie" and
three brothers, Sterling, Walter and infant Robert.

Honorary pallbearers: Nina Frazee, Josie Dunn, Donna Wellwood, Sharon
Wilson, Cheryl Warman, Kelly Dunn and Pam Jones. Urn bearer: Curtis
Leblanc.

There will be no visitation at the funeral home. A Funeral Service will be held
at the Beersville Presbyterian Church, 3339 Route 465, Beersville on Friday,
January 10, 2025 at 2:00pm, burial at a later date.

Donations in Helen’s memory may be made to the Clairville Presbyterian
Church Cemetery Fund, 1230 Route 465 Clairville, E4T 2L7 or a charity of
donors choice and would be appreciated by the family.
