GALLOWAY, NB – It is with deep sadness that the family of Geraldine "Geri" (Gould) Leger announce her peaceful passing on Monday, November 17, 2025. Born on October 17, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Gerald Gould and the late Helen "Nellie" Cooper.
Geri was the beloved mother of Tanya Leger (Marilyn Disario) of Malden, MA, and Gerald Leger of Galloway, NB. She was a cherished grandmother to Phoenix Leger of Bristol, NH, and a proud great grandmother to Reed Eddy, also of Bristol, NH.
Geri lived with her husband and son in Galloway from 2005 until her husband's death in 2022. In 2023 she then moved to Massachusetts to be cared for by her daughter and daughter-in-law.
Geri was a devoted fan of the Toronto Raptors and the Toronto Blue Jays, whose games she never missed thanks to the NBA and MLB League passes. When her beloved teams weren't playing, she could be found engrossed in the World Series of Poker or unraveling the intricate plots of her favorite British Murder Mysteries, with Midsomer Murders being a particular favorite.
Along with her parents, Geri was predeceased by her husband, Joseph "Henry" Leger; her son, Terry Leger of Byram, MS; and her sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Gould.
Following Geri's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services. Internment will take place in the spring of 2026.
Arrangements are in the professional care of Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto, NB (506-523-4252).
