Moncton, NB – Diane Marie Benoit, It is with profound sadness and immeasurable loss that we announce the passing of Diane on December 5th, 2025 surrounded by the ones that loved her deeply.

Born March 31st, 1970 in Pawtucket, RI she was the daughter of Dorothy (Mitchell) Benoit and the late Noel J Benoit.

Diane was a daddy’s girl since the day she was born, being the apple of his eye, she had him and everyone around her wrapped around her little finger. When she was brought home, she was aptly called "My Diane" by Bud and they have had a long-lasting bond that transcends all boundaries. When the third wheel showed up, Diane became a fiercely protective little Momma bear which was her true-life purpose.

After graduation, Diane attended NBCC for civil engineering and worked in Moncton. She worked for Exxon Mobile for eighteen years and transitioned to HCL for the last four years and had retirement in her sights.

Diane was creative, had many talents and juggled many hats, however, none held greater significance than when she met the love of her life Yves over thirty years ago, created a home and became a mother to Zac. Diane was the embodiment of unconditional love, patience, and unwavering support. Zac was her whole world and she poured her heart into nurturing his dreams, guiding him with wisdom, and loving him fiercely. From her cooking, baking, sewing, drawing, gardening, yard sale jaunts to her excitement at Christmas, her easter egg hunts or just to lend an ear, she always made sure that Zac knew how much he was loved. She was so proud of the man he has become and was over the moon to officially welcome Katherine into the fold in October.

Diane was more than her roles; she was a beacon of kindness, resilience, always putting others before herself and offering a shoulder to lean on during life's toughest moments. Her warmth, strength, compassion, endless laughter and humor created bonds that time will never weaken.

She is survived by her beloved Yves, her son Zachary (Katherine) Arsenault, her mother Dorothy Benoit and her siblings Noel J Benoit II and Cathy Benoit. She will be dearly missed by her aunt, Gertie Cambell, her uncles; Victor Mitchell and Francis (Jackie) Mitchell; her second family Mike and Julie Seleski and their children Jeff and Krista (Steve and their sons Lucus and Andrew Heinzig) whom she considered her siblings, her Brother- in- laws Mark (Jackie) Arsenault (their sons Alexandre (Danielle) and Pascal Arsenault and Pascals son Liam) and Gilles (Nancy) Arsenault and many cousins.

She was predeceased by her father Noel J Benoit, her father- in- law Rolland Arsenault and mother-in-law Kathleen Arsenault.

The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff at the Moncton Hospital and the Saint John Hospital for their compassion and care for Diane.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Diane's memory to the St. Peter's Cemetery Fund, or to hug your loved ones closer during this holiday season, show kindness, and pay it forward.

A celebration of her life will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025 from 2:00 – 5:00 and 6:00 – 8:00 at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto, and the following morning, Tuesday, December 16, 2025 from 9:00 AM until departure for the service, where friends and family will gather to honour her. A Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church in South Branch on Tuesday, December 16, 2025 at 10:30 AM.

Though she has left this earthly realm, her spirit remains eternal in our hearts.

Forever in our hearts.

Diane Benoit
