ELSIPOGTOG, NB – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Wilson Polchies, 66, of Elsipogtog announce his passing on Friday, April 3, 2026. Born in Rexton on December 27, 1959, he was the son of the late Isabel (Milliea) Isaac.

Wilson was a man who loved to tinker. He could often be found at home, working with his machines and computers, always eager to try and fix things and put them back together. He deeply loved his family and will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Wilson leaves to mourn his son, Shane Polchies of Elsipogtog; his brothers, Brian Polchies, Cyril Polchies, Clifton Polchies and Burtin Polchies (Eveline), all of Elsipogtog; his granddaughter; along with his extended family, many nieces and nephews, and friends.

Along with his mother, Wilson was predeceased by his wife, Mary Agnes Augustine; daughters, Sabrina and Katie; and his brother, Allison (Margaret Paul).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 9, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto. Visitation will continue on Friday, April 10, 2026, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to 9:00 PM. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, April 11, 2026, at 10:30 AM at St. Anne’s Roman Catholic Church in Elsipogtog.
