SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – It is with heavy hearts
that the family of Nora Mary Vautour, 67, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent
announce her passing on Monday, April 6, 2026. Born on February 19,
1959, she was the daughter of the late John Edgar Flemming and the
late Eileen Bennett.
Nora was a woman of many talents and a deeply caring spirit.
She dedicated over 25 years to working with children in daycare,
followed by eight years caring for the elderly at a private nursing
home in Halifax. Nora had a generous heart and found joy in
life’s simple pleasures, fishing, riding the motorcycle and
ATV, and a good game of bingo. Nora was also a very talented gardener
and carpenter, a woman of many skills. Above all, she cherished her
family, especially her grandchildren. Nora touched the lives of many
and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved
her.
Nora leaves to mourn her beloved husband, Howard Vautour; her
daughters, Michelle Penny (Eddy) of Cape Breton and Christina
MacDonald of Halifax; her sisters, Elizabeth Sanderson (Tom) and Susan
Flemming; her brothers, Bobby Flemming, Lynn Flemming (Anne) and David
Flemming (Colleen); her grandchildren Tyler, Camdyn and Alyssa; as
well as her extended family and friends.
Along with her parents, Nora was predeceased by her brothers,
Patrick, Gary, Arthur, Douglas and Brian.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Nora’s memory may
be made to the Canadian
Cancer Society.
Visitation will take place on Thursday, April 16, from 7:00
to 9:00 PM, and Friday, April 17, from 2:00 to 4:00 PM and 7:00 to
9:00 PM. Visitation will continue Saturday morning at 9:00 AM until
departure for the service. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on
Saturday, April 18, at 10:30 AM at the St.
Louis-des-Français Roman Catholic Church in
Saint-Louis-de-Kent.
