SAINT-CHARLES, NB – It is with heavy hearts that
the family of Aggie Johnson, 84, of Saint-Charles, announce her
peaceful passing at O Bon Soins in Shediac on Monday, May 25, 2026.
Born in Saint-Charles, she was the daughter of the late Albenie Daigle
and the late Laurette (Robichaud) Daigle.
Aggie leaves to mourn her loving husband of 64 years,
Frederic; her daughter, Debbie Johnson (Leonard) of Grand-Barachois;
her sons, Maurice Johnson (Jacinthe) of Saint-Charles and Kenneth
Johnson (Nancy) of Dieppe; her sisters, Jeannette Daigle of
Saint-Louis and Gisele Richard (Gilles) of Aldouane; her brother,
Ronald Daigle (Irene) of Aldouane; her six loving grandchildren,
Justin, Sebastien, Travis, Jamie, Stephanie and Nathalie; her eight
cherished great-grandchildren, Jayda, Maxime, Jaxon, Lexi, Raven,
Phoenix, Sammi and Zachary; as well as her extended family, nieces,
nephews, and dear friends.
Along with her parents, Aggie was predeceased by her
daughter, Linda; her brother, Eloi Daigle (Doreen); and her
great-grandson, Felix.
Aggie was married to the love of her life, Fred, for 64
wonderful years. They were often seen strolling hand in hand, a true
reflection of the strong love and bond they shared. She deeply adored
her family; her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, who
lovingly knew her as "la best" mom,
mémère and grand-mémère.
Nothing made her happier than visits from family.
Aggie was a happy and gentle woman blessed with many skills
and talents. She spent many years working in cake decorating, creating
beautiful cakes for birthdays and weddings. She also dedicated
countless volunteer hours to the Golden Age Club and the Saint-Charles
Community Centre. An avid gardener, Aggie took great pride in her
flowers and found great joy in tending her gardens and sharing their
beauty with family, friends, and visitors. She especially loved
watching the hummingbirds gather at her feeders, a simple pleasure
that brought her happiness.
In her free time, Aggie and Fred loved travelling together on
bus tours, making many memorable trips both across the country and
beyond.
Aggie loved life and was immensely proud of her family. She
will be forever missed and lovingly remembered.
The family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the
staff of O Bon Soins and to Nicole of the Extra-Mural Program for the
loving care, compassion, and support they provided to Aggie and her
family. Your kindness, dedication, and comfort during this difficult
time will always be remembered and deeply appreciated.
