RICHIBUCTO, NB – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Marie Anne Maillet, 66, of Richibucto, announce her passing on Thursday, June 4, 2026. Born in Rexton, she was the daughter of the late Hector Maillet and the late Margaret (Guimond) Maillet. 

Anne found joy in life’s simple pleasures, especially spending time with her beloved cat and watching the hummingbirds visit outside her window. She devoted herself to her family, adored her grandchildren, and took great pride and joy in caring for the people she loved. Though she will be greatly missed, her love and the memories she created will remain in the hearts of her family forever.  

Anne leaves to mourn her daughters, Sonia Daigle-Cyr (Raymond) of Dieppe and Stéphanie Daigle (Francis) of Quebec City; her sisters, Dianne Babineau (Pierre) of Ontario, Zelima Maillet of Moncton and Ramona Vautour (late Luc) of Saint-Louis; her brother, Everald Maillet of Richibucto; her grandchildren, Alessandra, Amelia, Kai and Alexie; as well as her extended family, nieces, nephews and friends. 

A funeral Mass will take place at a later date, at the St. Louis-de-Gonzague Roman Catholic Church in Richibucto.
