81, of Richibouctou-Village, announce his passing on Tuesday, June 16,
2026, at the Dr. Georges-L.-Dumont University Hospital Centre. Born in

Normand dedicated four years to the Royal Canadian Army,
serving as a peacekeeper in Germany. He spent many years working as a
cement truck driver before later finding great enjoyment working in a
cranberry field during the final years of his career. In his younger
years, Normand competed in many arm wrestling competitions, earning
numerous victories and winning his final competition in 1999 at the
age of 55.
In his later years, he taught himself to play the guitar, a
hobby that brought him much happiness. He loved spending time in his
garden, growing vegetables, and taking leisurely drives around
Cap-Lumière. Normand was a strong, quiet man whose actions
spoke louder than words. His calm presence, gentle nature, and
unwavering strength touched the lives of many. He will be deeply
