REXTON, NB – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Janet Lee Landry, 76, of Rexton, announce her passing on Sunday, June 14, 2026. Born in Saint John, she was the daughter of the late Ulysse Robichaud and the late Virginia (Baker) Robichaud.

Janet loved spending time at the beach and searching for beach glass along the shore. She enjoyed playing games, with Scrabble being a particular favourite. Music brought her great joy, and she had a special fondness for Elvis Presley and The Beatles. She adored travelling with her husband, Bernard, on adventures to the casinos in Vegas, to see her family in England, road tripping and spending time with her family and friends in South Carolina.

Nothing meant more to Janet than time spent with her family and friends. She treasured her time spent with "the girls" and loved her family with all her heart. Her kindness, warmth, and caring nature touched the lives of many. She was a truly special woman whose smile would light up rooms. Just like her beloved chickadees, she brought boundless joy to everyone she encountered. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Janet leaves to mourn her cherished husband of 57 years, Bernard Landry of Rexton; her daughters, Tracy Landry (Louis Robichaud) of Bass River, Tara Landry of Abbotsford, BC; her son, Trevor Landry (Moira) of Preston, England; her sister, Susan Robichaud of Sackville; her brother, Edward Robichaud (Simone) of Ottawa; three deeply loved grandchildren, Julien, Abigail and Bethany; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.

Along with her parents, Janet was predeceased by her sister Linda (Fred).

Visitation will take place on Monday, July 6, 2026, from 12:00 to 2:00 PM and 6:00 – 8:00 PM, at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto. Internment will be at 11am Tuesday, July 7, at the Catholic cemetery in Dorchester.  Donations in memory of Janet may be made to the Alzheimer’s Society.

Arrangements are in the professional care of Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto, NB (506-523-4252).
