SHEDIAC CAPE, NB – It is with heavy hearts that the family of Gaétan Camille Robichaud, 50, of Shediac Cape announce his passing on Wednesday, June 17, 2026.

Gaétan is survived by his parents Maurice and Denise Robichaud of Richibucto; his loving wife, Nadine Robichaud; his children, Olivia and Dominik, who he adored, and would do anything to make them happy; his in-laws, René and Murielle Arsenault; his brothers-in-law, Marc (Jennifer), Pierre and his beloved canine companion, Jax. as well as many uncles, aunts, nephews, cousins, godparents and friends, all of whom were very special to him.

Gaétan grew up in Aldouane, he graduated the class of 1993 from MFR(Saint-Louis-de-Kent) and graduated from NBCC. Throughout his work careers he formed lifelong friendships that were forever, once you saw that smile.

Gaétan enjoyed staying active and spent many years playing hockey and softball in Richibucto. He later shared his love of hockey by coaching his son, Dominik, and serving as a linesman at his tournaments, Olivia and Gaetan would share stats during the playoffs and joined her at the arena when she attended the clock. He was a devoted fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs, but above all, he cherished his family.

Gaétan had a beautiful smile that came from the soul, and he will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Gaétan was predeceased by his infant sister, Nadine; his infant daughter, Janika; his maternal and paternal grandparents.

Visitation will take place on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto, and continue the following morning, Friday, June 26, from 9:00 AM until departure for the service. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, June 26, 2026, at 10:30 AM at the St. Louis-de-Gonzague Roman Catholic Church in Richibucto. There will be a light lunch at the basement of the church after service.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that memorial donations be made to an organization of your choice!
