SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB - It is with deep sadness that the
family of Ernest Daigle, 93, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent, announces his
passing on Friday, June 19, 2026. Born in Saint-Louis-de-Kent, he was
the son of the late Albert Daigle and the late Mina (Gray)
Daigle.
Ernest worked for Chrysler Plymouth in Saint-Louis then later
moved on to the Bouctouche Chrysler where he worked for much of his
life. He remained at home with his parents and devoted himself to
caring for them until their passing.
Ernest had a great love for dancing and earned a Bronze
Certificate in dance. He was also a talented musician who especially
enjoyed playing the guitar.
As a devoted parishioner of Saint-Louis, Ernest served as a
lecturer and was also a minister of Communion. Ernest faithfully
brought Communion to the sick in their homes on behalf of the
Congregation of Notre-Dame. He was deeply devoted to the upkeep of the
grotte. He was also the person everyone turned to for keeping in touch
with our cousins and relatives who lived far away.
Rest in peace, Ernest.
Ernest leaves to mourn his sisters, Camilla Gallant (late
Aldreic) of Moncton, Jeanne Lewis (late Don) of Alberta, and
Marie-Laure Richard (Claude) of Irishtown; his brothers, Dolor Daigle
(late Rosa) of Saint-Louis, Camille Daigle (Margaret) of Alberta,
Fernand Daigle (Alexina) of Richibouctou-Village, and Alfred Daigle
(Aldona) of Saint-Louis; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins,
relatives, and friends.
Besides his parents, Ernest was predeceased by his brothers,
Léo (Thérèse) and infant brother
Camille.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 17, 2026, from 1:00

Home in Richibucto. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, July
17, 2026, at 3:00 p.m. at Saint-Ignace-de-Loyola Roman Catholic Church
