SAINT-LOUIS, NB
– It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of
Catherine Daigle (nee Hébert) after a brief battle with
cancer on Tuesday, July 7th, 2026, at the Dr Georges – L.
Dumont Hospital in Moncton, New Brunswick, at the age of 70. Born in
Claire Fontaine, New Brunswick, on May 8th, 1956, she was the beloved
daughter to the late Gustave Hébert and
Thérèse Hébert.
Catherine had deep rooted
love for her family and friends that was unwavering, and was endlessly
devoted to them. She was known for her generosity, compassion and
warm, friendly smile. If Catherine wasn’t found making life
long memories with her friends and family, she could be found on the
open roads of New Brunswick with her husband Jacques, enjoying the
small things life has to offer together.
Catherine is survived by
her loving husband of 50 years, Jacques Daigle; their cherished
daughter, Charline Daigle (Jean-Pierre) of South Branch, New
Brunswick; and the greatest joys of her life which were her two
granddaughters, Anabelle and Danie, whom she loved beyond measure and
cherished with all her heart. She also welcomed her four
step-grandchildren, Isabelle, Stephanie, Janick, and Genevieve, into
her life with open arms, loving them as family. Catherine was also
survived by her sisters Bernadette Hébert
(Louis-Émile), Anne-Marie Robichaud, Magella Cormier, and
one brother George Hébert (Denise), all of St
Louis.
Besides her parents,
Catherine was predeceased by her two beloved sons, Charles and Joseph
Daigle; sister, Laurentine Hébert,
Thérèse Cormier, Amanda Daigle; and one brother
Jean Hébert.
Arrangements are entrusted
to the care of Thompson Funeral Home, 33 Acadie Street, Richibucto,
New Brunswick (506) 523 – 4252, where a Visitation will take
place on Monday, July 13th, 2026, from 7 PM to 9 PM. A second
visitation will take place on Tuesday, July 14th, 2026, at 9 AM until
the departure for the Funeral Mass. Mass will take place at 11 AM at
the Paroisse St-Louis-de-Gonzague with an interment to follow at the
St Louis Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family would
appreciate donations made in Catherine's memory to the Canadian Cancer
Society or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
