SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB – It is with heavy hearts
that the family of Yvon Landry, 64, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent, announce
his passing on Tuesday, July 14, 2026. Born in Rexton, he was the son
of the late Henry Landry and the late Catherine (Hebert)
Landry.
Yvon loved spending time on drives through the countryside,
admiring antique cars, attending drag races, and took great pride in
the work he loved. He was a kind and generous man who loved his family
deeply and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in
need. Yvon’s warmth, compassion, and caring nature touched
the lives of many, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and
loved him.
Yvon leaves to mourn his beloved wife, Marie-Paule Landry;
his step-sons, Jérémie Daigle (Tina) of Aldouane
and Samuel Daigle (Angelica) of Pointe-Sapin; his sisters,
Basélice Blanchard, Rose-Marie Robichaud (Paul), Yvonne
Landry; his brothers, William Hébert, Paul Landry (Nola),
Henri Landry (Stella), Lucien Hébert (Marie); his
step-grandchildren, Luca, Zac and Alex; as well as his extended
family, nieces, nephews and cherished friends.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt thank you to
everyone who took the time to come help out at the house, call, check
in, and visit Yvon. They would also like to express their sincere
gratitude to Dr. Pierre Leblanc, the caring staff of the Miramichi
Regional Hospital and the Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital, and the Extra
Mural team for their dedicated, kind, and compassionate
care.
Visitation will be held on Friday, July 24, 2026, from 1:00
PM until time of service, at Thompson’s Funeral Home in
Richibucto. A chapel service will be celebrated on Friday, July 24,
2026, at 3:00 PM at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto.
In lieu of flowers, donations in memory of Yvon may be made to the
Canadian Cancer Society.
