ALDOUANE, NB – It is with heavy hearts that the
family of Ursula Duplessis, 80, of Aldouane, announce her passing on
Thursday, July 16, 2026. Born in Saint-Ignace, she was the daughter of
the late Edgar Gallant and the late Mélanie (Duguay)
Gallant.
Those that knew Ursula knew that a deck of cards was always
nearby. Her love of cards was matched only by her remarkable skill,
and no matter the game, she was always a formidable opponent. She also
had a passion for cooking and was especially well known for her
delicious homemade meals, particularly her fresh-baked bread, which
she lovingly shared with family and friends. She enjoyed spending time
with loved ones, dancing, and brightening the lives of everyone she
met with her generous heart and kind spirit.
Ursula shared 60 wonderful years of marriage with the love of
her life, Thomas. Together, they built a life filled with love,
laughter, and cherished memories. Her family was the centre of her
world, and she adored her children, grandchildren, nieces, and
nephews. Through her kindness, warmth, and unwavering love, she
touched the lives of countless people. Ursula will be deeply missed
and forever remembered with love by all who had the privilege of
knowing her.
Ursula leaves to mourn her beloved husband, Thomas Duplessis;
her daughter, Nicole Duplessis of Aldouane; her son, Eric Duplessis of
Aldouane; her sisters, Élianne Thébeau (Armand)
of Jasper, Alberta and Bella Melanson of Cap-Pelé; her
brothers, Gilbert Gallant (Jeanette) and Phillip Gallant; her
granddaughter, Mélanie (Brian); great-grandchildren, Brodie
and Kinsley; as well as her extended family, nieces, nephews, and
cherished friends.
Along with her parents, Ursula was predeceased by her sister,
Noëlla, and her brothers, Raymond and Donald.
