St. Louis de Kent, NB Alida DeGrâce 78 of St. Louis de Kent
passed away peacefully at La Villa Maria, St. Louis de Kent, Saturday,
September 20th, 2008. Alida was the wife of Arthur DeGrâce,
born in St. Ignace she was the daughter of the late
Amédée Comeau and the late Marguerite Babineau.
Survived by her husband Arthur, 10 children; Noëlla (late Gerard Maillet) of Rogersville, Yvette (Clarence Cormier), Claude (Joanne Losier) of Moncton, Elmo (Anne) of St. Ignace, Claudette (Johnny Robichaud) of Dartmouth, NS, Nicole (Arnold Kelly) of St. Louis de Kent, Mariette (Réjean Richard) of St. Ignace, Lise (Jean-Guy Lirette) of Scoudouc, Jacinthe (Georges Gallant) of St. Louis de Kent, Joanne (Travis Richard) of Richibucto, 22 grand children, 3 great grand children, several brothers and sisters in law, nephews and nieces. Alida is the last surviving member of her immediate family.Predeceased by 9 brothers and sisters; Alban, Alcide, Alyre, David, Delphine, Dolphée, Eugénie, José, and Rose-Eva.
Alida and Arthur celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary in July after they had just settled in the Villa Maria. Originally from Saint Olivier Road, they had to move to Saint-Louis in 1970 for the creation of the National Park in Kouchibouguac. Her life was dedicated to her family who will miss her dearly. Resting at Thompson Memorial Home, St. Louis de Kent with visitation on Monday from 2-4 and 7-9, Tuesday at 9:00 am until departure for funeral. Funeral Mass will be held at the St. Louis des Francais R. C. Church, St. Louis de Kent, on Tuesday, September 23rd, 2008 at 11:00 am. Internment in the parish cemetery.
