Mary Elizabeth Brown

Mary Brown 95, of Riverview passed away suddenly at the Moncton City Hospital on Saturday, November 5th, 2011.  She was a resident of the Grass Nursing Home for the past 2 years prior to that she resided with her daughter at Maple Trail Lane in Riverview.  Born in South Branch, she was the daughter of the late James and late Annie (Markey) Brown.  She attended St. Bernard’s Roman Catholic Church, Moncton and St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, South Branch.

Mary will be sadly missed by her daughter; Betty Wilson (late Vaughan) of Riverview, five grandchildren; Jim Wilson (Patsy), Mandy Dares (Paul), Carla Welsh, John Welsh, Jennifer Ward (Dan), six great grandchildren; Ashley Leslie (Dave), Nicholas Wilson, Samantha Joudrey, Kels Joudrey, Tommy Ward and Carolyn Ward, one brother; Charles Brown (late Joanne) of Virginia, USA, sister-in-law; Kathleen Brown of St. Louis, son-in-law; Carl Welsh of Concord, MASS, USA, and many nieces and nephews.

Mary was predeceased by one daughter; Marie Welsh, three sister; Serena Hudson, Bessie Walsh, Anne Glencross and five brothers; James, David, Edward, William & Thomas.

Mary will be resting at Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 pm and Wednesday at 9:00 am until departure for the funeral.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, November 9th, 2011 at 11:00 am, St. Peter’s Roman Catholic Church, South Branch officiated by her nephew, Father Edward Hudson.  Interment will be in the parish cemetery.  Donations to St. Peter’s Cemetery Fund or charity of the donor’s choice would be appreciated by the family.  Arrangements are in care of Thompson’s Funeral Home, Richibucto (523-4252).
