SAINT-LOUIS-DE-KENT, NB -
Victorine (Kay) Vautour 75, of Saint-Louis-de-Kent
passed away peacefully at the Stella Maris Hospital, Ste.-Anne-de-Kent
on Saturday, February 16, 2013 following a courageous battle
with cancer.
Born in Baie-Ste-Anne, NB she was the
daughter of the late Victor and late Julie (Duplessis) Durelle. Before
retiring, Victorine was employed as a teacher.
She was a member of St. Louis des
Français Roman Catholic Church, Saint-Louis-de-Kent. She
enjoyed playing cards, bingo,
knitting, and the company of many friends. Her door
was always open and everyone was greeted with a smile and a cup
of tea.
Victorine will be sadly missed by her
son; Adrien Vautour of Lower South River, Antigonish, NS, three
grandchildren; Marc, Melissa, Zacharie and two great grandchildren;
Zavier and Kaylee.
Victorine is also survived by three
sisters; Lydia MacKay (Ken) of Ottawa, Marie LeGresley (late Allard)
of Neguac, Esther Mahoney (Burton) of Miramichi, four brothers; Albert
Durelle (Mélinda) of Neguac, John Durelle
(Tina) of Tracadie, Victor Durelle
(Thérèse) of Neguac, Marc Durelle (Alta) of
Saint John and several nieces and nephews.
Victorine was predeceased by her
parents, her husband; Placide Vautour, two
sons; Claude (infant), Cyrille, two
sisters; Dora,Geraldine and five brothers; Raymond,
Claude, Leonard, Aurèle and
Julien.
Resting at Thompson Memorial Home,
Saint-Louis-de-Kent with visitation on Monday from 7-9
pm, Tuesday
2-4 and 7-9 pm,
Wednesday at 2:00 pm until departure for
the funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, February
20, 2013 at 4:00 pm, St. Louis des Français Roman
Catholic Church, Saint-Louis-de-Kent. Donations in
Victorine's memory may be made to the charity of the donor's choice.
