RICHIBUCTO, NB - It is with a heavy heart that the family of
Marie LaRocque announce her passing after a courageous battle with
cancer always keeping her sense of humor and faith by her
side. Surrounded by her loving family she left this world to
join our Lord and Saviour on February 19, 2013 at the age of
71. Born in St. Ignace, she was the daughter of late Medor
and late Judith (Robichaud) Henrie.
Marie loved her family and friends dearly, always making them
laugh with a joke or a good story. She enjoyed playing
Bingo, cards and chatting with others making sure you were comfortable
and content. Before retiring she worked as a caregiver and
continued to care for everyone around her.
Marie will be sadly missed by her four daughters; Mary Jane
LaRocque (Ovila) of Richibucto, Brenda Maillet (Leo) of Saint Norbert,
Therese LaRocque (Michael) of Charlottetown, PEI, Yvonne LeBlanc
(Vincent) of Saint Louis, one son; Gary LaRocque (Micheline) of Saint
Louis, seven grandchildren; Brandon, Jake, Jesse, Ashley, Renelle,
Annick and Mylene.
Marie is also survived by five sisters; Mabel Rasche
(Leonard) of Saint John, Jeannine Poirier (Gerard) of Saint Louis,
Exilda Doiron (late Omer) of Saint Louis, Roseanna Belliveau (Aurele)
of Saint Paul, Alma Henrie (Alphee LeBlanc) of Grand Bai, Quebec,
three brothers; Eric (Judy) of Saint John, Edward (Josie) of Colorado,
François (Cynthia) of Saint Ignace, several nieces, nephews
and two special friends; Alma Richard and Julianne Vautour and also
her many friends at Les Residences Richibucto.
Marie was predeceased by her parents, her husband; Daniel
LaRocque, two sisters; Alice Henrie, Marguerite Henrie and one infant
brother; Antoine.
Resting at Thompson Funeral Home, Richibucto with visitation
on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 pm, Friday noon until time of
funeral. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 22,
2013 at 3:00 pm, St. Louis de Gonzague Roman Catholic Church,
Richibucto. Donations in Marie's memory may be made to the
charity of the donor's choice. A very special thanks to
Father Mercier and Father Jean-Bernard for the regular visits to share
in Mom's faith. To Dr. Michelle LeBlanc and all the staff at
Stella-Maris-de-Kent Hospital and Extra Mural Staff, words cannot
describe the help and joy you brought to our Mom.
