After having lived a wonderful full life, at the age of 86, Yvette Goguen, daughter of Édouard Savoie and Véa (Daigle) passed away on April 15, 2024 at the Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital. She was the widow of Alvin Goguen who predeceased her in 2019.

Yvette was very jovial and liked to help others. She was very proud of having been a teacher with a local license in her hometown, Saint-Charles-de-Kent, and then a Teacher’s Aid in the Greater Moncton region for over 20 years. She met her future husband, who also taught in the Moncton region for over 30 years, when he was studying Classics at the Saint-Joseph College in Memramcook.

Yvette leaves two children Jean (Michele-Ann) Goguen of Dieppe and Nadine Goguen of Moncton, her beloved grandson, Pierre-Alexandre Goguen, her brother Yvon (Délima) Savoie of Dieppe, and her brother Normand (Thérèse) Savoie of Granby (Québec), her brother-in-law Léonard (Hélène) Goguen of Dieppe, and her sister-in-law Juliette (late Ola) Goguen of Shediac Bridge, as well as several nephews and nieces that she cherished.

 It is with great gratitude that the family would like to thank the staff at the geriatric department of the Georges-L.-Dumont Hospital, as well as the staff of the Auberge du Soleil. A visitation and a service will take place on June 5^th, 2024 from 1-3pm at Thompson’s Funeral Home in Richibucto.
